Jan first started seriously carving in 2002 when introduced to it at an RV park in Texas. She quickly became intrigued with Old World chip carving and began creating patterns for it. After starting to teach it to others, the students suggested she needed to write a book to share her patterns. She now has written 2 books with a third “book” on a thumb drive. Teaching is something she truly enjoys. Eau Claire is her home, but she and her husband winter in Pharr, Texas.
