Featured Woodworkers

Jamie & Lisa Doeren
Renegade Carving Company LLC
Jamie has been carving for 30 years. He has competed in several national and international chainsaw carving competitions and has spent several years traveling across the country performing at various fairs and festivals. Although the majority of his sculptures have been carved from wood, he enjoys working in various mediums including stone, clay, fiberglass, ice, and snow. His passion comes from constantly learning new things, broadening his creative experience and striving to become a better artist. His many years of experience in the art community has inspired him to foster that passion in other people through apprenticeship programs and organizing his own chainsaw carving competition – The US Open Chainsaw sculpture championship.
Lisa Doeren started out as a hobbyist carver in 2009- carving for fun occasionally on the weekends and during the summer. As she gradually became more involved with the events that Jamie was coordinating and became more involved in the business, her passion for chainsaw carving was unleashed and she realized that was what she was meant to do. In 2014, she quit her day job and went into carving full time with Jamie.
Today the two of them run their studio in Abrams, WI. They also do some traveling across the country carving at various festivals and shops. Together they are pursuing their passion for art and working at building a life that they don’t need a vacation from.
